I love sketchpads.
I love that they have no lines, no barriers. No convention of where your thoughts should fall; nor how long nor wide they should be.
I love that it is just a blank page until I start to write. It makes me feel that I am where it starts. It challenges me to be worthy.
I love how it allows me to prove that I can follow a straight path without a prior guide, without the dictation or initiative of strict lines. It makes me feel that I can do it on my own. It makes me feel talented and powerful.
I love that it allows me to draw when I'm tired of writing, that I can illustrate when I no longer have words. That I can say things without saying anything. And I'm glad that it does not hide my drawings behind the unintelligible lines.
Most importantly, I love that it makes me feel that I can be right and free - at the same time.
I love sketchpads.
